and stylish rare art deco Clarice Cliff Target pattern
geometric design. This
lovely English breakfast
set
for two comprises a Clarice Cliff Bon Jour shape coffee pot and cover;
Clarice Cliff cream jug and sugar bowl; two Clarice Cliff trios of cup
saucer and plate and an octagonal Clarice Cliff small platter or
sandwich serving
tray. Wonderful and rare to find so many surviving pieces of one
Clarice Cliff pattern together. Worthy of museum display - or
in the best china cabinet, of the most tasteful and discerning
collectors of English decorative arts, art pottery and art deco

- Marks:
All pieces are marked Clarice Cliff Newport Pottery. A selection of
marks are as illustrated.
- Condition:
In great overall display condition. There
are six main pieces comprising eleven ceramic parts. Note some
rubbing wear through use to the painted decoration as
typically
found. Tray/platter - one small flake edge chip to front and two tiny
edge chips to underside which do not show to front; trio one - small
flat edge chip to underside of plate and tiny edge chip to front that
is barely noticeable and one to underside of saucer that does not show
to front; second trio - two tiny flat edge chips to underside of plate
that do not show from front. One corner of the coffee pot lid
has an old repair as
illustrated. Overall these pieces are decoratively
very good and collectively form a super rare display set.
